Best Bumpa Alternatives in Nigeria (2026): Platforms Compared

Thinking about moving on from Bumpa, or comparing it first? We compare seven alternatives for Nigerian merchants on pricing, payments, inventory, delivery, digital products and how hard each is to set up.

The short answer: the best Bumpa alternative depends on why you are looking. If you want a Nigeria-first store focused on online selling with Paystack, Flutterwave, bank transfer, cash on delivery and digital downloads, look at Webift. If you want courier integrations built in, look at Sellora. If you sell worldwide and want a large app ecosystem, look at Shopify. If you have a developer, WooCommerce gives you full control. And if you only need a quick shop attached to a payment account, Paystack Storefront and Flutterwave Store are free to start.

What is Bumpa?

Bumpa is a Nigerian business app for small and growing sellers. It combines an online store with inventory management, point-of-sale, customer tools and social selling features for Instagram and WhatsApp. It says it serves more than 136,000 merchants and has been operating since 2020. It is a well-known name in Nigerian ecommerce, and for many merchants it is a sensible choice.

Why do some merchants look for Bumpa alternatives?

Looking at alternatives is normal when your business changes. Common reasons include:

  • Cost structure. Bumpa's plans are billed per quarter or over longer periods, and some features sit on higher tiers or use a credits allowance. Merchants who want monthly billing or a lower entry cost compare options.
  • Digital products. We could not confirm digital-product selling on Bumpa's public pages, so creators selling ebooks or templates may want a platform that documents it clearly.
  • Online-first selling. Merchants who sell mostly through a standalone store, rather than in person or through chats, may prefer a tool built around the storefront.
  • Payment preferences. Some want to connect their own Paystack or Flutterwave account, or offer cash on delivery alongside cards.
  • Growth. Others outgrow a tool and want a bigger ecosystem such as Shopify, or full control through WooCommerce.

None of these are criticisms of Bumpa. They are fit questions.

What to consider before switching platforms

  1. List what you actually use. POS, multi-location stock, Instagram DM tools and delivery integrations are valuable only if you use them.
  2. Check the true monthly cost. Convert quarterly and yearly prices to a monthly figure, then add gateway fees and any extras.
  3. Plan the move. Most platforms, including Webift, do not offer an automatic import from Bumpa, so you will re-enter products. Ask Bumpa which export options exist for your data.
  4. Protect your customers. Keep your WhatsApp and Instagram channels active and tell customers about your new store link before you switch.
  5. Run both for a while. Open a store on the new platform, add your best sellers and test the checkout before you retire the old setup.

Bumpa's strengths: where it may stay the better choice

To be fair to Bumpa, there are real reasons to stay:

  • Point-of-sale and in-person selling tools
  • Multi-location inventory on higher plans (one location on Starter, two on Growth, three on Scale)
  • Instagram DM and WhatsApp product sharing tools
  • Integrations with delivery providers such as ShipBubble and Fez Delivery, according to Bumpa's content
  • A free .com.ng domain on its Pro plan, per its pricing page
  • A long track record and a large library of guides

If you rely on several of these, switching may cost you more than it saves.

1. Webift

Webift is a Nigeria-first ecommerce platform. You build a storefront with your logo and banner, add physical or digital products with variants, track stock, take orders, set delivery by state or city and get paid through the methods you choose.

Payments: Paystack and Flutterwave using your own account, bank transfer with manual confirmation, and cash on delivery for physical products. You can turn on several at once.

Inventory and orders: variants with their own price, SKU and stock, low-stock thresholds and order stages from new to delivered with email updates.

Delivery: home delivery, pickup or both, by city, state or anywhere in Nigeria, with an optional free-delivery threshold.

Digital products: files up to 500 MB or external links, with an optional download limit per file, delivered by email link once the order is confirmed.

Pricing: a free plan with no subscription price, and Standard at ₦5,000 monthly, ₦12,000 quarterly, ₦25,000 for six months or ₦50,000 yearly (verified 12 October 2026; may change). Gateway fees are separate.

Limitations: no point-of-sale, no live courier rate integrations, no bulk product import and no WhatsApp ordering bot.

2. Sellora

Sellora is a Nigerian store builder. Its site lists a free plan for up to 25 products and paid plans at ₦5,000, ₦12,000 and ₦25,000 per month, with Paystack and Flutterwave support and logistics partners such as GIG, DHL, Aramex and Kwik. Check its current plan limits and any transaction fees.

3. Shopify

Shopify is a global hosted platform with a very large app store. Basic is $19 per month on annual billing ($27 monthly), and Shopify Payments is not available in Nigeria, so merchants use third-party gateways such as Paystack through apps. It is powerful but costs more and takes longer to set up. See Shopify alternatives in Nigeria for the full picture.

4. WooCommerce

WooCommerce is a free WordPress plugin with Paystack and Flutterwave plugins available. You pay for hosting, domain and extensions and you manage updates and security. It suits merchants with technical help.

5. Paystack Storefront and Flutterwave Store

Both gateways offer a simple online shop to their merchants. Paystack Storefront is free to set up and you pay the normal processing fee, according to Paystack's documentation, and it supports digital products. Flutterwave Store is described as free, with variants, low-stock alerts, delivery fees and discounts. They are fast to launch but lighter on store management than a full platform.

6. Selar

Selar focuses on digital products such as ebooks, courses and templates, with a commission on each sale. It is a strong option if you only sell downloads. Check its current fees on its pricing page.

Side-by-side: payments, inventory, orders and setup

Platform Nigerian payments Setup effort
Webift Paystack, Flutterwave, transfer, COD Low
Sellora Paystack, Flutterwave (per Sellora) Low
Shopify Third-party gateways Medium
WooCommerce Paystack, Flutterwave plugins High
Paystack Storefront Paystack Very low
Flutterwave Store Flutterwave Very low
Selar Local payment options Low

Store design and branding. Webift and Sellora give you a storefront with your own logo and banner. Shopify and WooCommerce offer the most design freedom, at the cost of more setup. Paystack Storefront and Flutterwave Store keep design simple.

Product and inventory management. Webift handles variants and stock per option. Shopify and WooCommerce scale furthest. Bumpa remains strong for multi-location stock.

Order management. Webift tracks every order through stages from new to delivered, with email updates. Check each platform's order tools if you ship in volume.

Payment gateway differences. Gateway fees come from the provider, not the platform. Paystack's published local fee was 1.5% plus ₦100 capped at ₦2,000, and Flutterwave's was 2% (checked 12 October 2026). Providers' terms apply.

How to move from Bumpa to a new platform

  1. Export what you can from Bumpa and ask what formats it supports.
  2. Create your new store and add your top products first.
  3. Set up payments, delivery and your branding.
  4. Place a few test orders and check emails and receipts.
  5. Announce the new link to customers on WhatsApp and Instagram.
  6. Keep your old store active until the new one handles real orders smoothly.

Remember: Webift does not currently provide an automatic Bumpa import, so products are added manually.

How to evaluate Webift before you switch

You do not have to commit to find out whether it fits:

  • Create an account and add three to five real products with photos and variants.
  • Connect Paystack or Flutterwave, or switch on bank transfer.
  • Set delivery for your main city or state.
  • Open your store on your phone and walk through checkout as a customer.
  • Check the plan details shown at sign-up and decide whether the free plan or Standard suits you.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Bumpa in Nigeria?

There is no single best. Webift suits online-first stores with local payments, delivery and digital products. Sellora suits courier integrations, Shopify suits global growth and WooCommerce suits custom builds.

Are there apps like Bumpa?

Yes. Sellora and Webift are Nigerian options. Bumpa is unusual in combining POS, inventory and social tools, so no alternative matches every feature, and you should list what you need first.

Is Webift cheaper than Bumpa?

On the headline prices we checked, Webift Standard is ₦12,000 per quarter against ₦15,000 per quarter for Bumpa Starter, and Webift has a free plan with no subscription price. The plans include different features, so compare what you need.

Can I import my Bumpa products into Webift?

Not automatically. Webift has no import tool, so you add products in the dashboard.

Should I leave Bumpa?

Only if another platform fits better. If you use its POS, multi-location stock or Instagram tools daily, staying may make sense.

How long does it take to switch?

A small catalogue can be set up in a day. A large one takes longer because products are entered manually.

Final thoughts

Choosing a platform is a business decision, not a loyalty test. Compare the real costs, list the features you use, and test before you move. When you are ready to try a Nigeria-first store, create your Webift store.
